The first of two treatment options that the Dermatrix Duo offers is Microneedling combined with Radio frequency.
This treatment offers the best of both worlds as it combines two separate technologies.
The combination of heat in the form of RF being delivered into the dermis while the upper layers of skin are targeted with the penetration of the needles allows for both new collagen as well as elastin production and is great for fine lines & wrinkles, skin tightening, and rejuvenation.
This treatment has minimal downtime and you can expect mild pinpoint bleeding and slight redness immediately after the treatment which will subside in a day or two post treatment.
This treatment uses no needles but rather a bipolar Radiofrequency pulse that penetrates deep into the dermis of the skin.
This treatment is more aggressive than the micro-needling with RF treatment and results similar to that of Fractional laser can be achieved. This treatment is fantastic for severe skin conditions such as scars &stretch marks but works extremely well for all skin resurfacing and tightening.
Due to the nature of the treatment, there is slightly more downtime and crusting will form on the areas treated. Redness will subside in one to two days and slight crusting will subside in 5 to 7 days.
Typical treatment protocol is a single monthly treatment. The Dermatrix Duo can be used for multiple applications on both face and body.

Aftercare for both treatments remains the same:
12 hours post treatment apply barrier cream.
When washing the treated area, insure not to be abrasive or use any products with active ingredients. When drying the area, dab gently with a towel to insure you do not rub off any crusting as this needs to fall off naturally.
Repeat this until all crusting has fallen off naturally and redness has disappeared while continuing with an SPF 50+.
Breathable makeup products and barrier cream can be applied but your therapist should be consulted first.
